Consultancy services to undertake an Environmental and Social Audit for civil works for upgrading of Alex Sebowa and Katwe roads in Masaka Municipality to class II Bitumen standard under Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development (USMID) – World Bank Funded project.

Activities Carried Out
Compliance to statutory approvals; Performance of C-ESMPs; Participation/involvement of LG stakeholders and beneficiary communities on the project; Environmental compliance; Environment and social (E&S) training, tracking and reporting; Healthcare provision system; Safety compliance; Management of contractor’s fleet; Waste management system; Social risk management for workers and members of the community; Physical and economic displacement (involuntary resettlement); review of available records pertaining to social risk management; Adequacy of workers’ employment and welfare requirements (including sub-contractors); Management of Physical Cultural Resources (PCRs) and Documentation of good practices.
